The initial focus is on the spinal cord injury and the many problems needing constant attention, but eventually the needs of the partner must be addressed. How does a partner feel, cope and adjust? How does the relationship and each partner’s roles within it change? How can a couple survive the stresses and challenges of such a life-altering event and go on to lead a satisfying life together? At this forum we will have a panel of three couples who were together before the injury and are still together from one to several years after injury. [Scirehab-forum] SCI Support & Information Group Meets Thursday, February 16 at 12:30 pm

Greetings subscribers:

 

Individuals with spinal cord injuries and their family members and caregivers are invited to attend the next Spinal Cord Injury Support and Information Group, which will take place:

 

·         Thursday, February 16, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm

·         Harborview Medical Center  (4-West Patient & Family Room, across from the nurses' station). 

 

This is not a therapy group, but rather an opportunity to share stories and experiences, ask questions and get real-life answers. You can also just listen to fellow members of the spinal cord injury community.

 

Monthly Meetings at Harborview Medical Center:

 

·         3rd Thursday of each month

·         12:30 to 1:30 pm

·         4-West Patient & Family Room (across from the nurses' station)
